This is when I found I would have to reset the bluetooth module and then restart. So I would try to turn it off and then back on, but it wouldn't allow me to turn it back on at all. It will say bluetooth is on, but won't allow me to connect to my AirPods. But after a while it stops working again. I have been resetting the bluetooth module and restarting to fix it. From searching the only things I can find are temporary fixes and I have to restart my MacBook every time.
